Why this project exists
Many online application forms reject otherwise valid submissions because the uploaded image is too large, has the wrong aspect ratio, or does not match the requested format. Students, job applicants, travelers, and anyone preparing digital documents often waste time guessing dimensions or uploading files to unknown conversion websites.
ImageCropAndResize was built as a focused utility to make those adjustments in the browser: crop, resize, compress, apply common presets, and convert images to PDF—while keeping the core workflow on your device.
Who maintains the site
ImageCropAndResize is maintained as an independent utility project by a solo developer. It is not a government agency, exam board, or visa service. There is no separate corporate office listed for this tool; support and editorial questions go to the contact email below.
The goal is to keep the product small, understandable, and useful: a working editor, honest guidance, and clear privacy expectations rather than a large marketplace of unrelated tools.
How The Tools Work
All processing runs in the browser. The image editor uses the Canvas API to preview crops, resize images, adjust compression, and generate downloadable output files. The Image to PDF converter reads each selected image, fits it onto a PDF page while preserving its aspect ratio, and produces a downloadable PDF using the same client-side approach. Neither tool sends your photos, signatures, or documents to a remote conversion server.
